Though I've lived in southern California most of my life, I've honestly only driven by the canals in Venice. I was in the area the other day for a friend's birthday and decided to take a stroll through. The area is so cute! I wouldn't want to live on Grand Canal because of the tourists walking through all the time, but I think the side canals are pretty peaceful.
