I think "The Cure" is probably my favorite song from Tegan and Sara's new album, Sainthood. You can hear the whole album streaming on their myspace. This song just loops in my head over and over.
Also, just learned you can download the mp3 of "Hell" for FREE over at Amazon's mp3 store. And you know how much I love Amazon's mp3 store more than iTunes. Go get it!
Sigh. Loving the quiet and stillness outside tonight. Usually it doesn't get this quiet until about 3 or 4 am. If you know me, you'd know my favorite time of the day and not be surprised that I love the quiet moments. The weather is just especially nice this week.

Damn. I've been quite busy. Summer quickly turned into fall. Summer was not great for me. It was hot, jobless, and not that fun, though it ended with a bang. Sigh. I like Fall. Fall is soothing. Except for the Santa Ana winds, but those generally happen in early Fall. It's October now and deep into the season. Fall going into Winter is my favorite time of the year. The air smells different and there's a slight cool breeze. This time of the year makes me nostalgic. The smell of Fall mornings make me think of when I would walk to school in the early mornings. At night, when looking at the stars, I remember how my best friend and I would lay on a blanket on her front lawn and stargaze. And of course the holidays arrive and those are happy times for the most part, right? For the most part.
Anyway, things I would have updated with are now long gone and they don't matter anymore. So I'll start anew. This past weekend, I went to the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival thing. It was pretty crazy and crowded. Mostly crowded. Anyway, photos to come soon. I hope.
Oh. And I can't believe USC lost so badly against Oregon. Well. It's been a pretty exciting season anyway with our new QB.
I'm just updating my Netflix queue and I'm noticing how many of my new film choices are labeled as "very long wait." I think it's kind of ridiculous and I'm about ready to unsubscribe. If I switch to Blockbuster, then they have the deal where you can go to the physical store and pick up DVDs too. Ugh. I'm sick of having to wait weeks and weeks for new releases.
Well it doesn't feel like fall, but it's here! I know because college football has started! USC is looking okay, but it's hard to tell because their first real challenge will be next Saturday when they go up against 6th seeded (arguably overrated?) Ohio State. We'll see ...
